Charters in Sicily & the Aeolians
Watch Stromboli throw fire at the night sky from your own deck, swim over bubbling volcanic vents off Vulcano, and eat granita where the fishermen do on Lipari.
The Aeolians are the Mediterranean's wildest week: seven volcanic islands strung north of Sicily, UNESCO-listed, and genuinely different from one another. Lipari is the busy little capital; Salina is green and slow with the archipelago's best food; Panarea is tiny, chic and candle-lit; Stromboli is an active volcano that performs most evenings — the classic move is dinner at anchor off the Sciara del Fuoco watching the eruptions.
Charters run from Milazzo, Portorosa or Capo d'Orlando on Sicily's north coast, an easy reach from Catania or Palermo airports. Because the islands are close together and harbours are small, a boat is not just the best way to see the Aeolians — it is essentially the only way to see more than two of them properly in a week.
На что смотреть при выборе судна
Фильтры, применённые к подборке (sicily & the aeolian islands) ниже.
Stromboli after dark
The night anchorage off the Sciara del Fuoco is one of sailing's great spectacles — eruptions every 15–20 minutes, best from the water.
Salina's table
Capers, Malvasia wine, the granita at Alfredo's in Lingua — the green island is the archipelago's pantry. Book Da Alfredo for lunch and thank us later.
Volcanic swimming
Warm vents fizz off Vulcano and Panarea's islets — swimming over champagne bubbles rising from the seabed is an Aeolian signature.
Working-island feel
These are fishing islands with real communities, not resorts. Harbours are small, evenings are local, and August aside, anchorages stay honest.

Для (sicily & the aeolian islands).
Where do Aeolian charters start?
Milazzo and Portorosa on Sicily's north coast are the main bases — about 90 minutes by road from Catania airport (CTA), a little more from Palermo (PMO). The first island, Vulcano, is a two-hour sail out.
Can we climb Stromboli?
Guided evening hikes to the 400 m viewpoint run most of the season (the summit is regulated by volcanic activity). Many guests prefer the boat show: anchor off the Sciara after sunset and the volcano does the work.
Is it rougher than other Italian waters?
It is open sea between islands, so you feel weather more than on the Amalfi Coast. Summer conditions are settled; crews adjust the order of islands around wind. That small wildness is exactly the appeal.
Which islands make the best week?
The classic loop is Vulcano → Lipari → Salina → Panarea → Stromboli, with Filicudi added when the forecast is kind. Alicudi — no roads, 120 residents — is for charters that want the edge of the map.
